Another example of verruca Examples of verruca

A verruca is caused by the human papilloma virus (HPV), similar to a wart found on the finger. However, verrucas on the foot can be more challenging to treat due to the thicker skin, which can make eradication more difficult.

Initial conservative treatment typically involves removing the overlying callus and providing advice on starting a home treatment, which is readily available at local pharmacies. However, in some cases, home treatment may be ineffective. For those instances, I offer a procedure called verruca needling. This involves numbing the area with a local anaesthetic and puncturing the verruca multiple times to trigger an immune response.

Various factors will be considered, and these will be discussed during your consultation.
